I also implemented a project management process at Gothia, based on PRINCE2 that was utilised on every project from producing the project mandate through to lessons learned reporting following implementation. All IT projects were delivered on time, to budget and to schedule. I also devised and implemented the outsourcing of all documentation, a disaster recovery process, an electronic document management system and the business continuity plan.
Accountability for the IT Department including localised IT, 3rd party suppliers (TCS), budgetary control, standards for governance, controls, ownership of IT risks and issues and implementation and alignment to the IT strategy. Delivery of IT best practice for a number of high profile business critical new product launches to market.
Commercial and contractual ownership of 3rd party suppliers including distributed agile development alongside waterfall deliveries. Senior stakeholder management, ensuring the IT delivery meets the needs of the customer (internal/external) whilst aligning to the IT policies, standards and controls. Management of between 5 – 46 direct line reports including matrix management.
Responsible for bespoke software delivery to clients. This included full business analysis and systems analysis, requirements gathering, functional specifications, development, implementation, training of the clients in the use of the software, post-implementation support. All work was billed to the client and therefore had to be completed to time and budget
